I've decided to not wear earrings because they're proving a hassle and a pain (literally, can't get the things through the second hole in the back of the earlobe.) I've had two bumps develop near the piercing, does anybody know what I can do to help them go away?

It is just a keloid and you don't have too worry too much. You can get some sea salt from the grocery store and start soaking your ears in a sea salt water solution for about 10 minutes everyday. If these are new piercings and they're not healed yet, you should keep the earrings in. If you're not completely healed, the skin can close up and just trap infection. Keeping an earring in will allow the pus to flow out.

I've gotten those before. Huge lump right? It's called a killoit not sure if I spelled it right. Sometimes hot water will relieve the pressure. Like a hot shower or warm cloths. Sometimes just open the back with a razor. It's all puss in there. I used to get them but I haven't for abut 3-4 years now. It only started after I pierced my ear.

Are you sure they are not keloids. If they are keloids do not wear the earrings and go to the Dr. to see what they can do to give you some comfort. Sometime after we get our ears pierced we get a small bump and we have to go back to the beginner rings. Also keep the area clean with alcohol.

Clean your ears with neosporin and massage the area, that helps the scar tissue break down and soften up.
