You know how ppl say 911 woke a sleeping giant... I think the Bush administration woke a sleeping ppl. Before Bush we were just paddling along with our daily lives. Sure some of us paid attention to politices BUT not since the Vietnam War have the ppl paid this much attention...

I don't know about WHY, but HOW is another question as well. I am an American.I know I should be proud and wave my flag and all that. I am only proud of our self-sacrificing soliders from past, present and future.

America is supposedly the richest nation in the world, yet we are trillions of dollars in debt. We destroy cities during wars then spend millions to rebuild them or let their people live here for almost next to nothing. We are always asked to donate to other poor countries yet we have a million+ Americans here poor, homeless, living in alleys, eating out of garbage cans, being beatened and raped. Our children are being kidknapped, molested, taunted on the internet. Why isn't our government helping Americans more? Why is our government letting an organization like NAMBLA exist? Why is our govenment being bias and letting the media be bias?

I know some other countries have it worse. I completely understand that. Foreigners are coming here daily to be able to live in freedom. That's great. But too many Americans are taking advantage of these freedoms and these freedoms are too unlimited. Like unlimited access to porn on the internet where anybody at any age can see. We still have racist issues and feminists are trying to rule the house and gays are no longer 'in the closet' and they want all the same rights. Our founding fathers must all be rolling over in their graves.

I respect your opinion but I think the anti Government activist have done most of the damage. If all of you had gotten behind our Government , the war would have been over long ago.
