Skin is an impenetrable barrier to viruses and bacteria if it is not broken. It is reinforced by chemical defenses. Oil and sweat give the skin a pH of 3-5.
Bacteria that live on the skin help by releasing acids and wastes to kill off unwanted microorganisms. Lysozyme is found in tears and saliva which can destroy the cell walls of most bacteria. Gastric juices kill off bacteria in food. Mucus captures bacteria in the nose and throat cavities of the body.
Phagocyte are cells that eat other cells or objects found in the body.
Macrophages a type of phagocyte that eats bacteria, viruses, and the debris of damaged cells. They develop from a class of white blood cells called Monocytes. Neutrophils are another type of white blood cell capable of becoming phagocytotic.
Natural Killer Cells destroy the bodies own infected cells, especially those containing viruses. They may attack cells that might form tumors. They do not eat the cell but lyse it
Damage to tissue by physical injury will trigger an inflammatory response.
Small blood vessels in the area will dilate and become leakier. This causes the redness and heat of the infected area. This enhances the migration of phagocytes into the area. Neutrophils arrive first, followed by monocytes that develop into macrophages. Clotting proteins seal off the infected area.
Injured cells release Histimine which induces the dilation of the capillaries. Sometimes white blood cells release chemicals called pyrogens. They act on the bodies thermostat and raise the temperature in an effort to kill the microorganism.
Interferons: Acts in warning other cells of a viral invasion. It is produced by infected cells.
Complement: Circulate in the body in an inactive form. They are activated by chemical markers, or the onset of the immune response.

I don't know, and I'm not sure even a qualified physician can answer your question.
I am approaching 66. My last bout with flu was three years ago; haven't even had a cold for the past two years. I smoke one to two packs of cigarettes a day, drink at least six beers every day, eat bacon, beef, pork, and the only exercise I get is pushing the buttons on the slot machines at my local casinos. As a substitute teacher, I am in contact weekly with children who are carrying many viruses. They touch me, I touch them, spreading bacteria all over the body.
My father smoked from the age of 11 until the age of 42 when he had a heart attack. He quit smoking, and died at the age of 81 from lung cancer. My brother smoked from the age of 16, was a beer drinker for over 30 years, developed scleroderma and diabetes in his 30's, cancer of the brain in his late 40's, and was dead at the age of 51. I have a sister who smoked for over 30 years, suffered a stroke, is diabetic, suffers from neuropothy, Bell's Palsy, and occasional bouts of shingles (even in her mouth).
My mother, who is from a family of twelve, had a sister who was epileptic, one who was schizophernic, two diagnosed with brain tumors (successfuly removed), and two brothers who died of inoperable brain tumors. The oldest child in that family didn't die until she was 98. My mother is 86 and still has all of her permanent teeth. She has one filling. She has three living sisters, age 84, 82, 72; and one brother who will be 98 this year.
No one can explain why some people have been exposed to multiple viruses and bacteria and live on and on and on, and some die before they reach the age of one.

i admire what you are trying to declare right here yet i can not go alongside with the analogy. The Holy Spirit enters our bodies no longer the soul of believers. And He would not path by using us as blood by using our veins. I see it extra like the Holy Spirit taking over residency interior of a house (or temple which we are) and installation abode projects. The extra we enable Him to do His job the extra useful we are for it. The purifier He makes us the extra useful we symbolize the owner which will make us extra desireable to others. especially circumstances analogies help and especially circumstances they forestall. a good number of human beings whilst witnessing will ask yet another, "might you choose to ask Jesus into your heart." this will additionally make youthful babies ask ... Will He in good shape? and adults ... is this individual whacked out? especially circumstances i've got seen babies apprehensive via the possibility of Jesus attempting to get of their heart. i think of we ought to truly evaluate the connotation of how any anaolgy we use will impact the hearer.

That's the basic idea behind natural selection: over the thousands of years we've been around, the people who couldn't fight off illnesses successfully died and didn't pass on their traits as much as ther more successful people.
