First, is there any good use for pitfall seeds, besides burying them?
And also, is there any way to make money besides selling stuff to Tom Nook?
One more thing, where do you get turnips to sell to Tom?

1) No.
2) Not really, except the 'red rock.' Every day, there is ONE rock in town that, when you hit it with a shovel, will give you money. The more times you hit it in a certain amount of time, the more money you get.
3) Every Sunday from 6 a.m. - noon, a person named Joan will come to your town to sell you turnips. Everytime it's for a different price. Just remember, buy low, sell high!

Question 1: Pitfall seeds are only for fun. You can bury it in front of another animal and make them fall into the trap.
Question 2: That is basically the only way to make money. Everything you have is worth something. You can make easy money by fishing or getting some foreign fruit and selling it. That is how I paid off my ENTIRE BILL (so my house has 5 rooms in it).
Question 3: You buy turnips from Joan, the turnip seller, who comes every other Sunday and sell them to Tom any day besides Sunday.
