I've been stuck for well over an hour...so im askin for your help. The question is: If you feel you have experienced an event in your life that dramatically changed you, your view of other people, of the world, of how you feel about yourself, write about that experience.

I'd really appreciate the help.

Start with a generalized statement, like "people are shaped by their experiences," or something to that effect. Then narrow it down to a personal, specific example. In the conclusion you can tie it all together by explaining how we are a product of our experiences.

You could also being by stating something you believe. From there you can kind of work backwards and explain what events/people contributed to that view.

Or, if you haven't had a life-altering experience, explain how your personal views and opinions have been shaped.

And I'm not just making this up, either (I'm an English tutor).

I'd start it with a good PUNCH !

I can remember being carried swiftly along on a sweet and familiar smelling perfume along a dimly lit corridor. . .there was a radiance up ahead and I was being carried towards it.

This is an actual case of an experience I had when I almost died some 36 years ago. I'd suffered a cerebral hemmorhage, lost all bowel, bladder and vomit control, yet was somehow aware of myself as an essence only, without a body, being moved towards the light.

I survived. Had to relearn many things, but one thing I hadn't counted on was the ways in which my ideas and ideals had changed...I had a super appreciation for the smallest of God's creations. The world, for me, afterward was total love and total beauty. I could only hope to share my new-found expressions with as many as would listen.

Enough said.

I'll try to make something up to help you out with:

I was walking in my backyard one night, and, like the movie, Phenomena, with John Travolta, I witnessed a lightning storm and got struck by a Sprite (positive super bolt of lightening) that struck my brain. It somehow opened up the other 90% of my brain functions that normal people cannot use. I was able to use telepathy and other incredible powers to see into other peoples minds and determine their feelings. I was able to understand why certain people behave the way they do, which helped me learn more about myself and offer solutions to help solve major conflicts in society.

This is fictional, but you could think of something realistic in your life that did something similar to this. What type of essay is this? It sounds like a summary (basically describing an experience in your life and giving examples of those experience that made you feel this way). Basically, you need to put together and introduction (like I have above, and then elaborate into more detail on your introduction in your main essay body, and then conclude about what you have said.

Start with a short introduction of the topic and finish the intro with a little about yourself.
This will prime you and lead you into your topic answer.

It will also help you to have a definite incident to write about,
rather than a normal everyday occurance.
