Thomas is better because he's also a scorer and led the league in assist in 1985 with 1,123 assists (13.9 average).

...but Stockton is one of the best "pure" point guards in history. the best point guard in the 90's after Magic Johnson.

Stockton was the best pure point guard of all time. Thomas was more of a scorer, but Stockton had the game to not just get his own stats, but undeniably improve everyone around him. His court vision and ball handling skills were unbelievable, and his defense was always solid.
Not to say Isiah wasn't a great player, but compared to Stockton, it's no contest.

I wasn't watching NBA basket ball when Isiah played but John Stockton was the best. It's hard to mention Stockton with out mentioning Karl Malone.
Darin Williams Utah Jazz point guard will be as good as Stockton if he continues to improve at the rate he is playing.
He has spent a lot of time with Stockton.
He is one to keep an eye on.
The Utah Jazz is in forth place in The NBA. They have a hot bench too.
Magic Johnson personally seeked out Williams in Vegas and congratulated him on his performance.

i imagine that John Stockton is more suitable positive as a participant, yet Isiah became with the team that gained consecutive championships. John Stockton did not win with the Jazz regardless of Karl Malone. yet John Stockton has the most steals and assists in historic previous.

John Stockton he was like the best assister ever he usually got like 14.00 assists a GAME and like 12 points so John all the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Isaiah = championship ring
Stockton = all time in assists leader...
You can pass the records but winning a ring is something else...
