I've read several books by Native women authors.

Leslie Marmon Silko - Ceremony
Louise Erdrich - Tracks
Winona Laduke - All Our Relations
Mary Brave Bird - Lakota Woman (We AIM Not To Please)
Andrea Smith - Conquest
Going Native - Shari Huhndorf
A Chief and Her People - Wilma Mankiller

Book: Wisdoms Daughters by many Native women
(most of these authors have many books)

Unfortunately I don't know which are best sellers etc... They all are great books (and authors)!

Mmm. I've read Leslie Marmon Silko's _Ceremony_ and thought it was very wonderful. The book itself deals with Native American issues - it's a fictionalized account of the '40s nuclear-bomb tests that took place on the reservations of Pueblo Indians in New Mexico (supposedly "out in the middle of nowhere in the desert," or at least the government wanted us to think) and poisoned their land, water, and livestock.
