The one time I used the body massager I had the strangest and weirdest feeling in my abdomen and uterus when I turned it off. I was worried to get up but i haven't used it since. Was it affecting the womb with the vibration and pulsation? Also Iam not able to take names with my job and its a long drive to and from work. Is B-12 ok?

No, I'm pretty sure using a back massager (vibrating) is a no no. ALL of the vibrating back massagers come with instructions that warn against using them during pregnancy. I think if I were you I would wait and ask my doctor about it before using. As for the energy thing, I've got no idea, I'm 37 weeks and lack for any energy at all lol.

It it hard to keep your energy up while pregnant.

I admit...I drank a cup of coffee per day (AND a cherry coke in the 2nd trimester), and took a nap (2 naps in the third trimester) every day.

When I asked my doctor if it was okay to drink coffee, he told me that I shouldn't have more than 3 caffeine drinks a day.....and that if I was drinking a pot of coffee every day, maybe I should cut back.

The thing with energy drinks is that some are full of herbal tonics. Some herbs aren't so good for the fetus.

I don't think the effects of vibrators on a fetus have been proven. I had back problems during the last month of pregnancy, and the doc really recommended against it because of the unknown effects of vibration.

Honestly, just eat 6 small meals a day to keep you going throughout the day. Orange juice seems to help me as a substitute to caffiene. Also, get up in the morning and go for a walk - seems to put you in a better mood and gets the day off on the right foot. The best thing that has helped me is to adopt the philosophy of "delegate and disappear." Assign jobs for everyone in the home to do and disappear for a while and take a nap if you need to.

when i asked my doctor this question he said "take a nap and that will give you the energy you need. your body telling you your tired and to slow down is usually a good sign that you should listen! its doing a lot of work right now and needs the rest whenever it tells you it does so don't ignore it and try to cover it up by taking something." So..theres my answer to the first one. As for the second one..i haven't heard anything bad about back massagers so i would say they are ok.

Boost and Ensure are both healthy for you and your baby...definately stay away from red bulls though. However right now your body is telling you its tired for a reason! Its best to rest as much as you can...you know youll miss this time once the baby comes:) Back massagers are okay to use, however manual massage anything heavier than very light touch is not.

Are you taking prenatal vitamins? I feel so good when I take mine. I have a vibrating thing that goes in the chair that my husband got me for Christmas and I used it all the time and my baby came out just fine. They are OK to use. Just think about all of the baby toys and chairs and bouncers that vibrate.

B vitamins are great. I would have been completely lifeless without them! Walmart sells a liquid B-complex...tastes ok, not great...it is absorbed very quickly and works well. Also children's chewable vitamins are absorbed quicker than swallowing a pill. (As advised by my doc)
The back massager I don't know about, but it sounds as if your body says "don't try that again!"
