IMO, some current players would be Pujols and A. Jones, some all-time players would be Ted Williams and Lou Gehrig and the only current AND all-time players are Mo Rivera and DE-REK!!! JE-TER!!!

Former - Ted Williams, Hank Greenberg, Bob Gibson, Jim Rice, Cal Ripken Jr., Allen Trammel, Carl Yastrzemski, Sandy Koufax, Tony Gwynn, Gehrig, Ernie Banks (you ain't called Mr. Cub for nothing)

Current - Derek Jeter, Bernie Williams, Jorge Posada, Mariano Rivera

I'm a die-hard Red Sox fan, but I have all the respect in the world for those guys and they have all conducted themselves with great class. My hats off to the Yankee organization for keeping these guys intact for so long.

One of my greatest memories is Mariano's reaction (and the Red Sox fans, too) when the Sox got their World Series rings and he was introduced. A wonderful moment and Rivera showed his class be enjoying it and basking in it.

I THINK all of these guys have played on only 1 team. Some of them switched cities because their team moved I.e., Willie Mays.

LHP-Whitey Ford
RHP-Don Drysdale
RP-Mariano Rivera
LF-Joe Jackson
CF-Willie Mays
RF-Ted Williams
3B-Mike Shmidt
SS-Cal Ripken, Jr.
2B-Jackie Robinson
1B-Lou Gehrig
C-Johnny Bench

Bench players: Willie Stargell, George Brett, Bernie Williams, Carl Yastrzemski,

The lack of contemporary players is because most guys don't stay with just one team anymore.
