Deep Purple were always a great band. I think that they made some excellent music. Personally I think the band was always better with Richie Blackmore. Without him they are still good but not excellent.

Yeah, Deep Purple was pretty great, but Led Zeppelin ROCKED! THEY WERE AWESOME!

Also, Jimi Hendrix and the Doors. They could wail.
