I'm going to use a 4-3-3 formation, which basically describe the way football is going nowadays, even if 4-4-2 is still the rule:

GK: Igor Akinfeev (Extremely good 20-year old for CSKA Moskva, reminds me of Iker back when he made the big time in the '99-'00 season)
LB: Philipp Lahm (Starter for Bayern and Germany; shined at the World Cp and was a FIFA Player nominee)
RB: Nemanja Vidic
CB: Sergio Ramos
CB: Khalid Bouhlarouz (Starter for Chelsea and Holland; he´s the oldest of the whole group, but truthfully, there aren´t many up-and-coming centers of renown nowadays)
DMF: Fernando Gago (Brand-new signing by Real Madrid from Boca. Has quickly become one of the main pillars for Real´s defense, and is quickly taking that same position in the Argentine national team)
LMF: Cesc Fabregas
RMF: Cristiano Ronaldo
LW: Lionel Messi
RW: David Villa
FW: Sergio Agüero (This guy is just fantastic. Starte for Atletico de Madrid and in time for Argentina, he debuted in the Argentine 1st Division when he was 15-years old and his signing from Independiente was one, if not the, most expensive one by an European club from a South American one)

Of course, I haven´t named some other really great players like Rooney, Hleb, Fernando Torres, Joe Cole, Andres Guardado, and many, many others, but currently, this is for me the best XI of this kind.
