Give some reasons why

Definitely Mac. Some reasons why:

1. It can run more software. Only Macs can run all OS X software, all Linux software, and all Windows software.

2. As long as you don't run Windows on your Mac, it is much more secure than a PC.

3. Vista. If you go the PC route, then at some point you're going to need to run Vista, and that is a giant nightmare. Security issues surround everything from User Access Control, to One Care failing to protect against known viruses. Compatibility issues with 32-bit and 64-bit applications and drivers will be around for the foreseeable future — OS X allows 32-bit and 64-bit applications and drivers to work together, with no need for an emulation layer.

4. Productivity. Study after study shows that Mac users are more productive, and happier with their machines.

5. Cost. The cost of the box is a tiny factor in the total cost of the machine. Lower productivity raises costs, as do increased IT support costs associated with Windows. Let's not forget about the much higher costs of Windows viruses. One compromised Windows box can cost you your identity, or your company proprietary information. How much is that worth? Thousands? Hundreds of thousands? More?

I vote PC, because I am a gamer, but with consoles the way they are nowadays (including internet access, hard drives and all) I might just go with consoles for games and a mac for word processing, movie-editing, and websurfing.

Of course, I can see consoles eventually replacing our favorite web-surfing and word processing applications as well, and as soon as I can hook up a printer, burn dvds, and do all the other fun stuff I can do with my comp, I'll just go console all the way.

By the way, despite the fact that I love my PC, I will most definitely agree... DO NOT GO WITH DELL. Just try getting a hardware issue resolved after buying a Dell computer. You can argue with them until you're blue in the face, and they'll still try to make you think it's a software issue and therefore not their problem.

I would recommend a PC. PC is better quality than Mac, and Microsoft computers last longer besides that. It's easier to use a PC than a Mac anyway.

Mac.

If you get a mac you can use a second OS with bootcamp. And you can also emulate Windows with Parallels to use non-direct x programs while running OS X. So you don't lose the programs you like on Windows and can boot into Windows to play games that don't have a mac version or you already have the PC version and don't want to buy the mac version. Neither OS is really better than the other. They both have their issues. Though at the moment, I'd avoid Vista. They have a lot of bugs to work out.

PCs have a lot more viruses then Macs. Also OSX tiger is a much more reliable operating system compared to Vista. PCs are more affordable though, but all MACs come standard with an intel core 2 duo processor which is nice so what you pay for a MAC is worth it. I currently use a pc with windows vista but my next computer will be a MAC, because i want to try to experiment.

Mac and PC.

Mac computers are known as the best security computer. They're no known viruses for Mac OS today, but there is a fact to that, though.... Please note that only 10% of the world use Mac, while 90% use PC.... This is plain logical; the higher the percentage is, the more attractive it is. My point is: Mac is not vulnerable to viruses because they're only 10% popular compared to PC's 90%..... Please also note that viruses are made by hackers and computer geek... My point again is, of course, it makes no sense to write viruses for Mac computers because it is a waste of time infecting only 10%, whereas you could spend that valuable time to infect 90%... Note that the reason people write viruses is to become rich, like stealing people's credit card and other sensitive information... In plain words, would you rob 10% of Mac users than 90% of PC users? That's my point right there.

Mac is more expensive because Mac parts are NOT from third party distributors. Mac parts are made by ONLY apple.

Another reason Mac computers are more expensive is because ONLY Mac softwares can be used on a Mac.

Let me simplify this down for you:

1 Mac is not vulnerable to viruses because people rarely buy Mac computers.

2 PC is very vulnerable to viruses because PC gets more attention.

3 There is nothing a Mac can do that a PC cannot do.

4 There is a lot of things a PC can do that a Mac cannot do.

5 PC is not limited to softwares.

6 Mac is very limited to softwares.

7 Mac makes lightweight computers better than PC

8 PC is faster than a Mac because PCs are known as entertainment computers.

9 Mac is limited to upgrade

10 PC is NOT limited to upgrade.

11 Mac is limited to games

12 PC is NOT limited to games

Many people argue that Mac has a better GPU than PC. Note that GPU means ( Graphic Card)... Mac does not have a better GPU over a PC because, once again, Mac is limited to games, while a PC needs the best GPU to play games.

The only advantage Mac has over a PC is security, like not vulnerable to viruses... But if you use a subscribed Anti Virus software on your PC, you will NOT get a virus, unless you foolishly download free softwares off the Internet.

Please also note that MAC is very good for people who aren't educated about computer technologies. Mac protects you from all harm. It is a different story with PC... PC depends on you to protect it... That's why it is recommended for computer literates to use PCs.

Anyway, MAC VS DELL.... I would choose a Dell because Dell uses windows, the MOST advanced OS, while Mac uses Mac OS X...

Note that you can get a Mac for the highest price $4000, and you can get a Dell as its highest price $5000

If you are ONLY concerned about viruses, then choose a Mac so it protects you. But if you want to exceed your enjoyment and get the MOST entertainment, get a DELL

Dell's most superior computers can be seen at these links.

MAC - now using intel processors, compatible with windows and most programs out now have drivers for apple.

Mac has always been a better selection, the only problem was they are more expensive than pc and not alot of programs were written for them.

Like the guy above. Dell tech is mad that he is going to loose his job soon because Dell is going to go out of business. The Dell badge is a symbol of shi*t. Why would you ever get a Dell. It will crap out of you in a week, it is crap, nothing comes with it for free unlike the mac where you get Garage band, built in iSight, iChat, and all these other cool things you get with the mac that comes ready. With a Dell you can get the stuff on it for any other computer company. Dell is not good at all. Dell was not the best computer in 2006. Maybe it was in his dreams but never in real life. DELL SUCK. Trust me if you get a Mac you will not regret it but if you get a Dell you will regret it.
