Just curious but whats up with all the ugly names? Shyquitha? Botifa? Sheniqua? Jaquai? Why so hideous?

They do sound a little funny, but they're names nonetheless.. Different cultures have different ideas and names for things, so maybe your point of view says "that's ugly" because you aren't used to names like that. I don't like them either.

I personally think people think they are being creative and naming an "individual"...and they don't stop to think about how the kid will be teased and have to explain how to spell and pronounce their name or always be assumed to be black etc.
So in trying to stroke their egos while being creative they actually are being selfish and short sighted.
But this is just an opinion. I guess there is no real answer.

I wish I knew what they were thinking!!! Don't they realize the child will have the only name like it in the world? Once the child learns how to spell his/her name, they will have to spell it for everyone, always! That's a burden. Let's hear from some of your mothers that actually like 'ugly' names.

i think the parents of these people roll dice and hope to get a good name or they combine a boy and a girl name together as one!!

i think the parents just like close theyre eyes and pull random letters out of a hat, then put them in order of a name. lol how do you even SAY those??????? LOL

People are trying to be original when they name their kids, and i'm with you they just sound stupid, and ugly.

Those all sound like black people names lolol. Well I guess people like those names on their children. And maybe they likje it because it's unique.
