Rob and Amber left the pitstop first and made their way Punt Arenas, Chile, where they had to locate a shipwreck to get their next clue.
They had to go from there to complete a task which was to either navigate their way through the town of Punta Arenas or create a signpost of destinations that Magellan visited in this trip around the world.
The sign was there but they had to figure out the starting and ending point of the trip as well as spell the destinations correctly.
This is where the strongest team of all faltered. Rob could not spell worth a damn and just could not get "Phillipines" correctly.
Once the task was completed the teams needed to get on one of 2 charter flights to Argentina. The three teams that chose to navigate got on the first charter flight which left 3 hours earlier
Oswald and Danny came in first, followed Eric and Danielle, Ian and Terri, Dustin and Kandice, The Guidos, Uchenna and Joyce, Sharla and Mirna.
Rob and Amber got the boot. They had stayed in 7th position until the last task which was to sort through mail to find a letter written to them by some other team they had race against before

YES! I just saw it.
The "Top Contributor" person covered pretty much everything, and it made me so mad that Rob spelled "Phillipines" as "Phillipeans". [You had to make a road sign with Ferdinand Magellan's route in order, the cities he stopped at.] I mean SERIOUSLY. After doing that much travel, I would expect you would know how to spell the world. Actually, Uchenna & Joyce were the only ones who completed that detour - everybody else gave up and went on the navigation detour. [It turns out on the sign you had to start with Seville and end AGAIN with Seville, because technically that was Magellan's last stop. Clever, eh?]
Pretty much, Rob & Amber started first, and there was the usual fight over the first plane out, people fell behind, there was that detour, and then Rob & Amber tried to trick Charla by misleading them to the clue box. Then there was the road block "at the end of the world", the southernmost tip of South America, when one person had to sort through 1600 letters to find one of two addressed to them, written by former team competitors. And then Rob & Amber got eliminated. Haha! I never liked them anyway.

Luck ran out on Rob and Amber. They were eliminated on that leg of the race. Charla and Mirna kicked their asses after beating them out to the pit stop.
