tanning is more dangerous than being outside a lot. i hope u enjoy looking like a burnt hot dog...and hope u dont catch anything from the tanning bed. do the five minutes to see how u feel afterward. next time u can go up,but at least u wont b fried from ur first time. moisturize with fresh aloe plant, or the bottled stuff if u cant get fresh.

i would start 3-5 minutes for the first few times. then move to 5-7 minutes for a few times then maybe 10-12 min the u can go to 15, 18 then 20. You dont want to get burnt! tanning takes patience but is worth the wait. Good luck and be careful. ** you know u can use a low spf sunscreen in the tanning bed that will help protect your skin but still get you tan!! i would definately use it on your face!! you dont want an aged face when u get older!! also use one of those stickers so u can see your tan progress its alot easier to tell and is encouraging

Honestly it depends on the beds, some are really shitty and no matter how long to go you'll get red, and ALWAYS use lotion, I love John Abate!!! Soo nice! so, yeah I usually start with 15 min and up depending on the bed, and as always the people that work there will recommend you going like 5min, but they're bullshitting you anyways. They just want your money and to get out. I am very fair skinned, and usually go around 10-15 the first time, You will always feel dry and red, up to the first 6 hours, and I recommend you not showering at LEAST and hour after you tan, it will 'wash off' or you'll get REALLY REALLY red.. Hope this helps!!

I'd say 10 minutes, but ask if the bulbs have just been replaced, cause then maybe 7 minutes. Newly replaced bulbs work a lot faster, and you don't want to burn.
BTW, tanning is bad for you. So I'll give you that speech anyways :) I'm 25 and I tanned in high school all the time, but quit when I graduated. Now I see my high school friends that are STILL doing it and their faces look like leather. Lots of wrinkles. ICKY!!! Keep that in mind.

To be honest tanning is a good way to make sure that your skin can take the sun once you hit summer months. You will really have to go with what they recommend at the salon, there's no way for us to recommend what you should do without knowing how your skin reacts to the sun. If you are of a light complexion, five to 8 minutes to start would be wise, and you still may need a mild sunscreen. It's all going to depend on how you handle the sun normally.

It depends on how fair-skinned you are...if you are really light and burn easily, I would go for the minimum time which would be i'm guessing about 5 minutes or so...If you have olive or medium skin and don't burn easily go for like 8 or ten minutes...

Depends on how pale you are. Start out with a lotion that has a bronze-rs in it and you will get almost instant results. Be sure you wash your hands after putting the lotion on.
