It is a question that has boggled my mind for quite some time. I have read many documents on the benefits of practices such as visualization, affirmations and the like, explaining the importance and power of thoughts. Now on the flip side, and literally on the "flipside" of the world, we encounter ancient vedic practices such as meditation and stilling the mind that "put" you on the path to enlightement. Now my question is, should we as human beings go through life using our minds "actively" and consciously to get where we want to be? or should we try not to think that much at all and let life take us where it will? Hence, to think or not to think? I know it's a deep question, but im sure many of us share the quest. thanks for your input!

To think or not to think?
Well, to be honest we think. It's a spontaneous response. It may not necessarily be logical, but we do think. It's part of how we're made.

The mind is a wonder. The benefits of practices such as visualization, affirmations are true, but they still do not encompass all that we mean.

The ancients learned to open their mind in a way that they were empty, so they could listen and be open to God. It's not that they didn't think, so much as they quieted their soul and mind so that they could hear others' speak, especially HE WHO is the OTHER!

Well, I'd like to take the steering wheel to drive my life. I'm definitely a believer in visualizations, affirmations & self directed thoughts.
Think, but not too hard. Declare it & let it go. Believe that you already have it. Be grateful.

Keep a journal of what you plan for the week. If you change it, so what! Home , education and work are first. Second is well Second. Take time for yourself because you cant take care of the top 3 without sleep and nutrition.
