I've been with this guy for two years and he keeps saying he will marry me but he has yet to pop the question. I want to be a young wife its one of my dreams. I was talking to a brother of one of my friends and he jokingly said well I get out of medical school soon marry me my little trophy wife. Later my friend said he really was interested in me like he had a crush on me for a long time. I'm sort of giving it consideration but i don't know what to do. I don't want to be kept waiting for a proposal I may never get.

You obviously arent in love with the first guy because if you were you wouldn't even consider such a thing. Save him the heart ache and let him go. As for being a "young wife" why don't you aspire to be more like a "young doctor" like your friend's brother. Being married doesn't make you a grown up dear, it makes you a wife. And there is more to being a wife than your age.

Two years isn't long enough, give it some more time. You are still young! I'm not sure of your age, but I would wait at least another year or two and see what happens then. Don't ruin a good thing because you want to be a young wife. You could have a great future husband in your hands! Don't let him get away because he hasn't proposed yet. Good luck! :)

Gosh---It sounds to me like your not in love with the person you have been with the past two years. How could you even consider marrying someone who, number one, calls you his 'little trophy wife-to be', ????? and then someone you don't really even love----just to get married??? Marriage is hard work and it requires daily attention. Don't do anything until you understand the true meaning of 'love'.
It means, wanting to be with that person every minute you can spare, you think about them so much that it interferes with your school or work, your voice is an octave higher than normal when you talk about them, you feel giddy and tingle when you imagine yourself with them......can't wait to start a family and grow old with this person.
THIS IS LOVE...grow up or wait until you meet a person that makes you feel like that or you will just be a statistic in 1 year or less. Sorry, hon, I just have to be honest.

Maybe you should start giving hints like looking through bridal magazines or leaving them laying around the house..stopping in a bridal shop and trying on dresses with him there...Or looking at rings when you stop into a store that has them...and tell him..Oh I really like this one...just keep at it and let him know that you think its time..and if he doesnt budge then do what makes you feel happy.

yeah i know what you mean. i dont know . who treats you better? who would go out of their way for you? if the guy your with keeps saying he wants to marry you and shows no interest, then i would personally end it.
