So I am a high school student and have questions about recommendation letters. I am planning to go to a University college, and I was wondering if they need letters of recommendation. Also, how should I obtain letters of recommendation, and how am I suppose to send them to a college? If someone can tell me all the necessary steps that would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, you need 2-3 letters of recommendation. 2 is typical, but sending more is good. They can come from teachers, advisors, coaches, mentors, or employers. But you should have at least one from a teacher.

Steps:

1) Ask the people if they would be willing to write a good recommendation for you. The 'good' part is important - if they feel as though they can't give you a good recommendation, it's in your best interests to know that and ask someone else instead. Be sure to ask at LEAST two months before you need it to give them time - rush them and you'll get a rush job from someone who's mad at you. Not good.

2) Check to see how the college wants the letters delivered. Many will require that the recommendations be sent by the person writing it. Others will require you to send everything at oncel, with the recommendations in sealed, signed envelopes. Still other colleges will require the recommenders to fill out an actual form letter. So look this up well ahead of time. If a form letter is required, print it out and fill in the necessary info (your name, SSN, address, school, etc) before giving it to the person to fill out.

3) Send everything in on time as required by each school.

The application for the college you are trying to attend will have directions for how many, when, and how to submit LoRs.

You obtain letters of recommendation from teachers, administrators, mentors, or other people who can accurately comment on your academic abilities.

Some applications require them, some don't. Some ask for teachers to answer certain questions, others just ask for a letter. Unless otherwise specified, try to get an english or math teacher to write one. Then send it in with your application, in a seperate unopended envelope. You don't want them to think you read it.

that's effortless practice, to have a former worker write their very very own advice letter. i do no longer recognize what your interest replaced into yet be elementary, make your self seem good and concentration on your sturdy factors. have been you there wide-unfold, once you have been meant to be? How is your artwork ethic? What have been your household initiatives? Did you artwork properly with others? Did you artwork properly in my view? those are in basic terms some concepts.

If you're smart you don't need letters of recommendation. Only dumb people need those.
