I'm African. The way we do it is family first. If I was a guy and my friend did that to my cousin, I would probably rearrange his face. But then again, it depends on which of them you are closer to. If it was a cousin that I met only twice in my life I'd be concerned but it wouldn't bother me as much as if the cousin was a really good friend of mine as well.
