You know all of those advertisements on the Internet that tell you you've won an iPod? Are they real, and will they really send it to you if you give them your adress?

Technically it's true, but very deceptive. In order to get the iPod you need to sign up for a bunch of offers they present you with. Like credit card offers, some VoIP service, and "free" trial services on the internet that you need to cancel in a month or pay through the nose for.

You can get an iPod or other thing of the sort out of the deal, but you have to give out a lot of your personal information. I wouldn't recommend it.

In most cases they require you to sign up for a few sponser offers and sign up some friends. The offers cost you money. They are things like signing up for credit cards, netflix, some other online service that charges, etc. The friends that you sign up must also complete sponsered offers before you get sent the item.

Basically it's a pain to get the item and some sites are scams others will send you the item. It's best to research the site and find people who are participating in the offer.

No, they really don't. They're scams, and don't give, they can steal. Never give personal info out to ANYONE on the internet, including these ads. (You should know that from someone telling you when you first used the internet!)

Some are scams to find out your private information, some you need to sign up for them and work your way there, and some are just viruses. I would ignore these ads because they can be viruses.

Lord tunderin' hellzyea, they're just another one of your standard-issue pyramid schemes. They probably sell your personal information to spammers, too.
