Longer shift lever = more torque ;-)

Some people just shouldn't drive a car at all!

Torque and Horsepower do inter play... at a certain point of RPMS the horsepower curve and the opposite arcing curve of torque meet like an X...

this is a optimal point that is why you try to claculate the matching of your parts to ensure that they're all in close agreement to that point so that they work together with each other instead of against each other...

dollar for dollar the first thing to do which will gain you both is have the distributor recurved and set so the advance both built into the distributor mechanically and the vacuum advance come on earlier...

its not uncoomon to see a 15-20 hp gain.. in high school 1979 this modification only cost me a $3.00 spring set and about 45 minutes time to change the springs out...

Usually when you add power to a car, it will come in both horsepower and torque. Ways you can increase power are: Switch to a cold air intake, replace the stock exhaust system, engine modifications etc.

add an air intake which can be as little as 60 bucks.
you can replace the whole exhaust from the air intake to the headers to the cat converter, to the exhaust muffler. you can use 2 3/4 piping. Another thing you can do is CHIP your car. Which is a chip that regulates the gas..... this is awsome yet expensive.
we like our car but the only thing that sucks is, your car in a lot louder and the cops like to pull you over a lot. good luck!

No it won't boost horse ability. what it is going to do is help you utilize despite HP is important whilst the AC its off. so no, not something is further, despite loses you have by using using the AC are actually available to run the motor vehicle. and ability to weight ratio on a inventory motor vehicle isn't that huge a distinction to justify the removal of the equipment, except you reside up north the place temps are constantly clean or chilly. in that experience you dont want AC. Now in case you reside in Florida and you come to a kind to eliminate it, and this is a on a daily basis driving force motor vehicle, mark my words, you would be apologetic approximately it.

first of all the transmission has nothing to do with the engines horsepower. try a cold air intake kit, better camshaft and if you want a lot of power get a turbo or supercharger, depending on the vehicle.

Torque does not add horsepower. If you install performance parts to the engine, it can.
