This will be my first time to travel abroad - migrate actually. What clothes should I prepare when I get there? Can someone pls be very specific on what I should expect there too?

Okay, now that I have the stereotype out of the way ....
Seattle is extremely scenic, and has a lot to offer. IMO traffic is among the worst up there with San Francisco/Oakland, L.A., and NYC, but actual quality of life is excellent if you are fortunate to have a decent job.
Lots to do in the area, and within a two hour drive, you can go skiing, hiking, and so much more. Personally I prefer Portland over Seattle, but Seattle is more contemporary and "in" i think.
You will want to dress in layers, esp in spring and fall ... so that you can adjust what you are wearing to the day and hour. It does tend to be wet and cool in the winter and spring, but dry and warm (not hot) in the summer and fall.

Seattle is a very laid back, diverse, liberal city. There are lots of cultures and ideas. It is the most educated city in the US (by percentage of people with college degrees), so there is a good amount of money and different industries in the city.
The climate is very mild. Jeans and a t-shirt will suffice most of the summer and add a light jacket to that for fall and spring. Put on a heavier jacket in the winter. It rarely gets below freezing in the winter and usually stays below 90 in the summer.
Its a very beautiful city with lots of things to do and explore. You can always find a scene you are into and integrate easily.

It is a nice place to migrate and if you have a job already it is really good. Carry a lot of warm clothes as the average temperature in this place is 10 degrees C.
