I'm trying to learn the song "Best I Ever Had" Gary Allen but u have to tune your guitar down from standard tuning, but I'm not experienced enough to know exactly what Hz setting my tuner needs to be on..please some1 help me out with this 1..

Tuning it down an octave would be easy without changing the 440 Hz on the tuner.
You should be able to tell when you're an octave lower.
Besides, it would be tuned so low, I think the strings would just rattle and not really sound all that good.
You probably mean it was tuned down a half note or a full note.
As suggested, check the sheet music and see if it's just tuned down a little bit.

Leave the 440 alone you don't touch that. To down tune you use your pegs like instead of tuning your E string to E you would tune it to D. That's called D tuning. And you can tune your a strings to E flat A flat and so on flat with the other strings. it depends on the song. Don't touch that 440! Get his sheet music(Allen) It will tell you what to tune down to.

An octave lower would be half that -- 220.
