Depends on the white, and for that matter, any other ethnicity of man. All Black men don't desire a big butt.
Men in the bay area, northern California, are a little more culturally aware and interactive, so you find men of varying backgrounds checking a nice, big butt!

White people are different have u ever noticed that if you tell a white women she has a big butt she goes crazy and if you tell a black women she's fat you have problems with that person it's just a preference thing

First of all, all Black men do not like big butts, that's a stereotype. My brother likes skinny model looking girls, and some White guys do like curvier girls like Beyonce and JLo.

Because only black men have the equipment to actually reach the prize. Why would a white man comment on something that he can't actually attain?
And really, PHAT is used to denote "looking good" and NOT referring to size.

Not all Black women have big butts , neither does all black men like big butts , and not all white men want flat butts so please don't generalize the matter makes you sound ignorant

I think it's publicised that way,but it's really the other way around.Why else do black guys chase around white girls?...Why did the slave masters slide into the slave quarters at every oppurtunity they could get?NEVER believe everything you see or hear(no matter how often).Most of the time it's just the opposite!

Im not black, i like a shapely butt, and nice tadies , with a small waist, but i dont like a huge butt...everything in moderation....i dont mind black chick's butts, unless they are really extreme, which arent apealing

i wonder why so many women are answering, this question is for men (of which i am one), not women!
(ok, make and exception for lesbians in the house!)
i think black men have a sense of beauty that goes way back to the motherland. over in africa (and i should know since i've lived there) women with curves are considered way sexier that skinny girls. in fact, if you're too thin, they migh send you in to a "fat-ing" house where you'll be fed until that booty shoots out and those hips start to curve.
i can't speak for white men, personally, i've never found gisele bunchen or any of those skinny models with no azz and bones sticking out their hips beautiful. i like nice child bearing hips and rounded features.
i do have a theory about white men not liking the "bodied" women, THEY JUST CAN'T HADLE ALL THAT..
