Why do many Americans hate liberals?

That's a huge generalization. But the reason some Americans hate liberals is because they're afraid. The liberals have the ability to be open-minded and question authority. This doesn't set well with the conservatives. Most would rather just go on like everything is fine. Their idea of activism is giving thumbs down on yahoo answers.

Liberals don't hate Liberals. Many conservatives hate us, because we want to change the status quo, and they want things to basically stay the same, except for certain core issues like abortion and gay rights and prayer in schools, and
anything else that violates their ideas about what is sinful

We want to improve the quality of life for all people, and they want keep all the good stuff for themselves! *sm*

Because there is too much hate in America. It starts at the top, with an over-aggressive President who starts immoral and unjust wars.
