i need this key to enter a an activation code and i canot find how to type it. please help

The activation code is using a slashed zero (a.k.a. Danish Zero) so as not to be confussed with an "oh"

Using a font with a slashed zero is easier to read and less prone to error on input.

You can't. It is an extended ascii character. You need to use character map or ALT + # keys. Try this:
Hold down the ALT key and on the righthand number pad type 0216 and this should pop up--Ã.
ALT + 0216 = Ã

Try typing zero, eight, oh, and capital oh. Most likely, it is one of these characters that you are required to type.

that is just a 'zero' they put the line through it so as not to confuse it with an 'oh'
