Most people who self-identify as one of those groups have a strong political agenda.

For some, that extends to attacking anyone on the "other side".

It's not everyone. It's just usually the most vocal ones, since they have nothing else to say other than to make political attacks.

Because each of them think they are 100% correct and are unwilling to compromise. I'm not bashing any party because each have good points and bad points. If they would come together and agree to do what is best for all Americans and not a particular group then we would prosper.

However, they cut each others throats for power and for the betterment of their party and their lobbyist. This my friend is the meaning of POLITICS. They are trying to sell their party to the voters and more often the only good ideas they accept will come from their particular party because they do not want the voters to think that another party can do a better job then theirs. Therefore, they are negative towards other parties ideas for job security.

Unfortunately, their lobbyist influences them more than the voters because they are the ones whom pay to get them in office. I think our founding fathers have already turned over in their graves by now!!

You think your independent but your far left wing rants and questions prove different, Jasmine Nancy Lisa and all the other names you use. Don't you realize that you don't have a shred of creditability left except in your own eyes.

I think all of us need to come together and bag the media. With news on 24/7, I think that our country has become meaner and insensitive. Why on earth would a good person run for office in these times of attack politics? Sad.

You know, Brenda, I sat down one day and counted all the negative questions under Politics, and the right wing haters outnumbered the left wing haters 17 to 1.

Good, stay an independent. Don't ever join a political party. They are posion. Except for the Libertarian Party. They want the smallest Govt. possible.

I think the negativity comes from strong partisan bickering like we have never seen before.

I also think there may be more and more people headed to your group - tired of strict party platforms.

Based on your posts, you are neither independent, nor positive Nancy. You must be thinking of one of your other persona's.

But thanks for sharing!
