Go to the apple website
www.apple.com (or .com.au if in Australia like me)
Go into the ipod part and look up "specials"
They have lots and lots of ipod and shuffles that have been faulty and repaired by apple themselves.
I looked on there recently and you can buy a reconditioned shuffle direct from Apple for about $20 (Aus)
Some even have free delivery.
Try it, their stock is constantly changing, so if you don't see what you want, then wait a few days.

I Have an ipod. Im spoiled so i got one. They really arent that much different than th cheaper stuff. My ipods a video and all the diffeences is that u can play music videos. You secretly know you only want an ipod because they are in but a normal 30-70 dollar mp3 does most the same thing as a 250 one. If you really really want this ipod really really bad i suggest you get a piggy bank that you have to smash to get money out of [[kinda weird i know but trust me]] do a whole bunch of odd jobs and you would be surprised the nanos (which are aorable in the new blue) are only about 150$ if u do 15 jobs u get 10$ from u have enough! So get off the computer and get busy! lol u will be surprised how quick it all adds up!

save up! i saved up over a year to get the 330 dollars needed to buy the 30 gig (30 dollars was for the tax) and a month later it dropped down to 250. Just save up.

You will have to find a way to buy it yourself. I saved by crocheting and selling the items to buy a camera. You could babysit, mow lawns, do housework for someone, any number of things. Good luck.

hey hon!! try bake sales in your neighborhood if you can, i did that with my friend and by the end of the summer we were both able to buy video ipods : ] yay!!1 try ebay if you want to, or you could just go for the ones on apple.com, you can get engravings for free at apple.com!!

How old are you? You can get a job if your old enough so you can get one yourself. ipods are expensive so I don't think anyone will be giving you one.
