hell yes.
here's why.
magglio isn't the elite player of 4 years ago. he's not going to hi 38 bombs again nor is he gonna hit close to 330. he' barely a 300 guy now...and barely a 20 bomb guy. helton (after stoping the steroid use) isn't NOOOOOOOOOO WHERE NEAR his 350 40 130 days. not even close. hell most leagues i'm in aren't even drafting the guy in the top 10 rounds ( by the way i am considered an expert) alou and vargas are junk ..alou won't play but maybe 120 games..trust me i know i'm a giants fan who had the pleasure of watching that guy sit most of his games.
valentin is junk you don't need him. but you win in getting zito, wang and jackson. (borowski probably won't finish the season as the closer. look for wood to take that over). jackso is a stud in the making and i've been picking him with my last pick. his rookie year was great-i expect better with faster players at the top of line up. its a given that zito will lower his era especially playing in the nl west (fact is all al pitchers who come to the nl lower their era's a bit. clemens is a good example so is andy pettite) ming wang is an automatic 15 wins with the yanks. that speaks for itself. a win is a win. and if borowski does keep the job well you get plenty of saves to go along with 2 top notch starters.
but all that depends on who you already have at starting.
i'd take that trade in a heart beat. you can get younger players with more upside off the wavier wire right now to replace magglio and alou (milton bradley comes to mind so does adam either, randy winn who averages 100 15 75 280 and 25 sb's.) also there are some young guns expected to do much...carlos quienten of arizona comes to mind.

Depends on what you are in need of. Do you need a good short stop, pitcher etc.??? In my opinion I would not trade all of them. Without knowing this I would have to say:
Trade Vargas -he hasn't really done anything that special, Hernandez - he is not as good a pitcher as Zito , Alou - is up in age to get Barry Zito and Ching Ming Wang.
Just so you know I had to consult someone on this one, as I am not that into baseball. I hope this helps.

no i dont think if u tok out alou and added a 20 save closer then yes it would be a decent trade, i dont think you will benifit from this trade. wang doesnt get it done when it comes to strikes and zito is up and down in the era department alou and helton and ordonez will have 275 plus ba, and vargas should be a 10 game winner with 3.5 or lower era

no, Zito is an ex-Cy Young winner and Wang is a rising star. Alou is old as is Helton and Ordonez is aging.

Nope - but since you keep asking... Go ahead.
Trade them.
You are trading away 5 players that you drafted - why did you draft them in the first place? Maybe you needed them? Why didn't you draft the ones you are about to trade for? Maybe they didn't fit with the rest of your team?
make the trade, you can't possibly win anyway.
