A good laptop for gaming is made by CyberPowerPC a small company specializing in gaming PCs (laptops & desktops) their Xplorer X64-8000 is a great choice for within your price range, and can be customized to your delight. It features an AMD Turion 64 processor (I reccomend the MT-40, the ML-42 is AWFUL) that is plenty speedy for work and play. Its ATI Mobility Radeon X700 has enough horsepower to run anything you throw at it 3D gaming-wise. I would also recommend getting at least 1GB of memory in the system to increase performance of running Windows Vista. It comes with Windows Vista Home Premium included and you could upgrade to Ultimate for a few more $. Thats my two cents.

I totally agree with Wisdom C…
You won't find a gaming notebook for $800- to $900. That is almost impossible.
Just the graphic card alone costs $500.

Mwa ha ha. If you want to game on a laptop, be prepared to pay twice that amount.
Laptops are already more expensive than desktops, and laptop graphics cards are super expensive and they really drive the price up. You want a Mobility Radeon X1900? That'll be an extra $500 to the price. Also, notebook graphics chips are slower than their desktop counterparts: a GF Go 7600 is slower than a 7600 GS.
Just get a desktop for gaming. Or buy a video game console.

No such element as a much less costly gaming computing device. that's like inquiring for the cheap Ferrari. additionally, Alienware is in straight forward terms a Dell with a perdy case. seem at ASUS and seem for a computing device with a committed video card.
