Disconnect your computer from the internet immediately to be safe. Using another computer get the removal tool. Do not use your computer to log into any site, especially banks or credit card accounts.

SpyDawn, a clone of VirusBurst and SpyCrush, is a rogue anti-spyware program that may download and install without your knowledge or consent through a Trojan. SpyDawn pops up fake security alerts on your taskbar in order to trick you into purchasing their software. SpyDawn may also download and install other unwanted software without your permission.

The harder and scarier way is to take it off your hard drive. Go to my computer and right click and select explore, then go to local "C", and then select program files and then see if you can find it there. If it is there, then U can get rid of it there. If not then try the windows file and see if it is there. It has to be there somewhere or it is not there.
Make sure that you have a different virus checker in the future to make sure that you do not have anything like this happen again.
A good virus checker is bitdefender, it is rated number one in the computer magazines that list virus' .

Good luck.

will remove SpyDawn!

After you remove it use a good spyware/anti-virus program to prevent that happening again. Norton Internet Security works well. Adaware by Lavasoft is a good spyware program and it is free. Ewido and AVG are also free and they are good too.
Good luck. Spyware, trojans, etc. are a pain in the neck!

that is why you should never buy anything from companies that you aren't familiar with. some stupid people wanna spam and pay to put their adware on c-Net. not good. you should perform a full scan with Windows Defender or go buy Windows Live OneCare from Wal*Mart. trust me, it's cheaper there, $39.99. other places are $49.00
