pollution in the environment is a very good topic to write a bout,you can include water pollution,air pollution and others.

I find gravity interesting. It is always changing. Moon effects, sun effects, like tide. Can you say that something that can lift the water in a bay six feet has no effect on you as a person? What might that be? What would correlations show with gravity compared to say, crime rate or the Dow Jones. That would be interesting. Note, please, that the tides are not exactly in sync with the gravity vector because you have to move a lot of water and so there is a lag. And then this -- if the gravity of a star can focus the light that passes it, isn't it true that so does a fat man? Can we see behind a fat man? What is his focal length? Could we make a telescope with fat men spaced correctly? Not as weird as you think.

Current scientific idea to write about would be global warming. Whichever side you're on. Or write about both sides.
