Choosing a Boracay resort is always relative, dependent on what your priorities are. Most resorts in Bora can fetch you and take you straight to the property. If you visit their websites, most of them will provide information about their facilities, their guest rooms, and the activities you can engage in. Some of them even offer rates lower than usual on their website (a strategy to get you to book with them instead of with some travel agents, whose commissions you may end up shouldering).

Station 2 is the general favorite spot for most regular Boracay denizens because of its proximity to the party zone and commercial areas.

I suggest you think of the following when selecting a resort in Boracay:

1) Beachfront or secluded? Depending on your resort's location, you may end up in the midst of the revelry or in isolated peace and quiet.

2) Stay cool. I strongly encourage you to choose a resort that offers air-conditioned rooms. The summer sun in Bora can get really hot, especially in the afternoons.

3) What's the food like in the area? Aside from the usual free breakfasts that come with your booking, are there restos nearby that you can eat in if the in-house food doesn't quite meet your standards?

4) What resort comforts would you like? In-house massage services? A pool, a jacuzzi, a spa?

Here's a partial list of official Boracay resorts (and their websites) you can try. These particular resorts offer their best rates online, meaning they don't get cheaper on the Net than here.

I always stay in Villa Paula Beach House. It's very cozy and nice. The place is clean and well-maintained. They charge half the price of popular hotels in Boracay. They are located near station 2.

Trust me, you wont regret it!

Cheapest, decent place that's right on the beach and really quiet: Saigon Beach Resort on Station 3. It's next a water refilling station, too, so you don't have to lug all those heavy bottles from the market/grocery store.

Their number is (636) 288-3203.

Enjoy your stay!

The The Panoly Resort Hotel is a well known 5 star spa hotel with the only private beachfront. It's on 4-hectares of land and has a good balance of nature, privacy, comfort, service _ I'd recommend it:
