No. It's not the 1st time a rumor has circulated about his death. He's still alive and working. He left because he didn't want the kids to see he was going bald. He's currently working on an album.

No. Steve plays guitar in a band. He quit the show to work with his band full-time.

I heard he died from drugs, so I looked it up. Everything I found said he left to pursue a music or producing career.

I've never heard that either Joe or Steve were gay. Suppose it's just another vicious rumor? That would be my take on it.

He did an interview for one of 'Blue's Clue's' anniversaries, and revealed why he felt he had to go.
