What do the NHL players think of the schedule this year?

Question

I know how the fans feel about the schedule (playing teams several times a season) and the networks that games are or aren't on. I also know how much fans don't like Bettman and what he's done to the league. Anyone know how the players feel? What kind of say do they actually have?

I don't know if they have any say...that's what I'm wondering. I'm sure it's some political bull, but the players are the NHL, so I thought they might be able to at least give some feedback and/or suggestions through coaches and/or owners. Maybe only in a perfect world.....

I'm sure Dan L won't be checking this question again....what a jerk. No I don't expect any players to log on. I was looking for others' views on it. You know, maybe they've read an article or seen something on tv.

Near the beginning of the year, the FAN 960 interviewed a Flames player on the schedule. They asked about all the divisional games and lack of out of conference games. He said that it is fun to play in games with a rivalry (like Calgary-Edmonton) which you get a lot of in your division. They are just hockey players, and as long as they are getting paid their millions a year and get to play, they don't really care.

Stupid question. Who exactly are you expecting to answer your question? Do you think any players are going to log on to Yahoo so they can answer stupid questions like yours? No. Instead you'll get some answers from people with no clue in the hopes that you'll give them the best answer rating. Questions like these are why the days are numbered!
