I agree that my starting pitchers are my weakness. Which player should I offer to trade for a good SP, or which players should I package to get one or two good SP's?

Nice draft. I can't believe Ortiz fell to the No. 17 pick. You have a good mix of power and some speed -- assuming Figgins stays healthy.
Your OF is a little soft...Figgins is good but he may be your 3B on days. Burrell is OK, but I wouldn't count on Griffey for much. I'd look to add another OF for depth and drop Vizquel or Wilson.
You may also want to drop one of those guys and find another starter ... maybe pick up and hold onto Clemens, who could end up being a steal for you.

Pretty sweet. Actually looks like a real team. I bet people were all over you for drafting Utley at 1-his numbers at 2B make him worth it. I've won most of the leagues I've been in the last few years so I'd way you did a good job (especially filling the middle infield that early) but 8 is too long to wait for your first starter--especially when you already have two closers. Starters produce 4 of the 5 standard stats and closers produce 1 and affect 3 (either postively or negatively), but Lackey at 8 is a steal and Willis is about right at 9--so long as his head is on right. I like Gonzalez more than Otsuka but both are smart picks, and Fielder's a great pick with Ortiz, except that it's an easy position to fill and you have Thome who can only DH, but he should give you solid trade bait.

I'd hope Lackey gets off to a strong start and consider trading him for an NL pitcher who's starting slow-unfortunately there's no way you'll still find someone who doesn't know Santana's a slow starter, and he's the only pitcher in the AL you can coulnt on to put up NL numbers (NL pitchers average almost a full run less and almost 2 K's per start)

Very strong up til around 12th Round. Martin and Tankersley reaches, however Fielder excellent pick. Later picks seem to be 'name' players: Griffey, Vizquel and Glavine. Need more up and comers who have higher ceiling. Such as Anibal Sanchez, K. Youkalis, E Barnes. See if any closers in waiting are still available (D. Weathers, D Wheeler, J Broxton, J Julio, J Piniero, C Reitsma all appear to be closing very soon, either because of injuries, trade possibilities or lack of better option)

Your starting pitching is not good-actually it is BAD. Figgins in the 4th round??? I am suprised Ortiz was still there in the second round.. Your OF sucks. Good infield and closers. I'd look to unload Utley for a premiere pitcher or 2 and use Figgins at 2nd.
To the person above^^^-bullpen help??? KRod-Hoffman-Otsuka-Gonzalez is pretty good.

Who the heck is in your league that allowed you to assemble this squad??? You have a great team - could probably use some bullpen and OF help, but you are so deep, you should be able to pick up/trade for someone

I LOVE Lackey and C.Young this year - D.Willis will be solid. 3 good starters at the top of the rotation is always a nice way to start the season

Your team is an 7.5 out of 10...weak spots include OF and SP..should have taken a Carlos Lee, or a Carl Crawford with those top two of your picks..plus your ace pitcher is Dontrelle Willis..ouch.

Throw in the towel. Ortiz is money. Thome is getting up there in age. Your pitching is solid, but no solid starters that are guaranteed to come through every time on the hill. Good luck.

Your starting pitching is your weakness. Your offense looks pretty good. I would drop some of my lesser relievers and get some starters. I would drop Griffey Jr or try and trade him.

in case you opt for my elementary opinion, im no longer gonna get perfect answer. your going to furnish perfect answer to whoever says "wow ur group is a 10/10 so good omg i such as you". properly, I could desire to be elementary, your group is in all probability going to be suffering with to circumvent final place on your league. prince fielder is rather large, yet ur following couple of possibilities have been questionable. crawford is nice for universal and steals, yet no longer plenty else. mags is rather good too, yet thats approximately it. polanco is a a million stat guy, johjima is a nil stat guy, lowell is ageing, renteria has by no skill been that large plus he's ageing. your pitching group has smoltz, hudson, then rubbish. rafael soriano is nice, yet you have in basic terms like 4 good gamers on your group. my group in a 12 guy league has a-rod, bj upton, garrett atkins, curtis granderson, bobby abreu, hideki matsui on offense, which might in certainty injury yours. my pitching group includes john lackey, fracisco liriano, james shields, that's greater effective than yours too. im no longer in basic terms attempting to gloat, yet i wish your league is a sixteen guy league in the different case your no longer winning something except you sign this years ryan braun
