As myownsecretary... pointed out, his actual birthdate is somewhat arbitrary, as records were not really kept of slave births back then.

More to the point, what does this have to do with Geography?

Documented B-day is Feb 14th 1818

However, Frederick Douglass was born a slave in 1818. He lived in Tuckahoe, Maryland with his mother Harriet Baily. Frederick's mother used to call him "Little Valentine". Frederick, Then adopted February 14 as his birthday, not really knowing when his real birthday was.
