* water freezes to make lakes to skate on
*sugar dissolves in cofee to make a sweet solution
* fuel combusts in our car engine to take us to lake to go skating and buy a nice hot sweet cup of coffee :)

Possum is wrong on two: ice freezing and sugar dissolving are examples of physical rather than chemical changes. Other chemical changes include the explosion of fireworks, leaves' color changes in the fall, and the spoiling of food.
