If self-consciousness is a real problem for you, I would recommend going to a group on self-esteem at a women's or community centre. You'll be much happier afterward. :)

Don't let anyone tell you what you can do better. There is nothing better than who you are. (Now that I'm done being a cheer leader... who'd a thunk...) Hunny, you're 12, nothing will be the same in the next 3 to 5 years away. Hell I'm 25 and my skin is still a roller coaster, I lose weight in 20lb clumps out of no where, and my vision is fading fast.
For you, keep to what you like. If you have a style that works well for you, it's comfortable, you like it... then rock it. Keep your makeup to a natural point so that you don't end up looking like a science project with an orange line that stops that your chin line, and the best advice I can give you is to go with what your hair done naturally. I battled mine for years being naturally curly. And grow your own nails. Of all the things that boys still get all sweet over it's the fact that I've got nice hands, I smile because I'm comfortable with who I am at all times, and I have pretty, soft hair that smells good. Get's them every time.

You are very pretty and your make up is all that I could think of 'critising' < I can NOT spell Try wearining lighter make up colors, especialy with lipgloss go for something more pinkish and less red/rose colored and a little blush, also not lining your lower eye lid will make your eyes look bigger

Maybe you could get your eyebrows shaped by a professional...its amazing what well groomed/shaped eyebrows can do for any girl!
