14 years old. I babysat for a fee of 5 dollars an hour per child and went home with an average of 60 dollars over one evening in a weekend.
I would watch up to 4 at a time so that their parents could do Amway meetings when it was in its hay day.
I didn't even know what it was. Interesting, now I do a business along the same idea but with a product and service in demand.
I don't work for someone else and my kids are not put on the back burner. They come with me when I travel as I am my own boss.
You at your age, can do this, too. How do I know? My 14 and 12 year old are doing my business and earning money right now.

First job was that of a box boy (box person for all you PC folks) for a grocery store at age 15. Worked for this employer for 7 years and left as an assistant manager.

Technically, 14, which was below the minimum working age. Every Saturday, I cleaned the office where my mother worked. My first "real" job was when I was 16, I worked in a retail store similar to K-mart or Wal-Mart. Alot of my friends from school worked there, so it was fun.

My first job in which they withheld taxes was as a cashier at a grocery store @ age 16. I worked there about two years, usually about 30 hours per week.

I was 15 and worked after school and on weekends at the local grocery store. I worked for them until I was 19 and moved to Utah. Where I had a job waiting on me. I wonder who pays for you to live if you don't work?
