Take a safe babysitting course. In our area, it's offered at the local hospital. I think it's just one Saturday morning. Also, infant and child CPR if it's not included in the course. Then get some good references and you should be on your way. As someone who has hired nannies (for personal help) good references are the best.

Keep it simple and to the point. Be sure to have references ready. You will want to specify your experience, your hours, your age range and your rates. You don't have to put everything in. Save some things to talk to the prospective client when they call. If you are planning to do this for a career, then think about having a contract.

What do you charge? Are you a licenced babysitter? Did you take a babysitting or first aid class? When are you available?
