Should be just fine to use. I looked up the product and it doesn't mention anything harmful to fish.

Okay, here's what to do. If you're sure your water has chlorine (not chloramine) and the active ingredient of the Reptisafe is sodium thiosulfate, it will remove chlorine.

EDIT: I just checked some additional sources - ReptiSafe will remove both chlorine and chloramine, so it would be okay. It may change Ph a little, so don't do an entire water change - and add new water SLOWLY. Get some of what you regularly use tomorrow and finish add ing water to the tank then.

Also, you should only have to change 25-30% of you goldfish's water if you do it weekly - and you can leave him in the tank.

I would not put the REPTISAFE in! I had goldfish with city water, we didn't put the stuff in that takes out the chlorine. The fish were fine! If it bothers you, go to the store tomorrow, then add the stuff in. Your goldfish should be fine.

I don't know much about reptisafe, but i would not recommend doing that. Because fish and reptiles are completely different animals, the reptisafe prolly has chemicals that are safe to reptiles, but deadly to fish. So maybe you should hold off on cleaning the tank til you can get the correct chemicals, or get bottled water and use that instead of tap.

It won't hurt your goldfish. You can also let some water stand in a container that's open and let the chlorine evaporate. The amount of chlorine in the tap water is not that dangerous to a goldfish.

Sounds a lot like Prime. I wouldn't worry that it is marketed for the reptile market.http://www.seachem.com/products/product_pages/Prime.html

Go down to the store and buy some bottled spring water and test it until you can get to a pet store to get chlorine remover.
