You will see small light green eggs carried under the female's tail in what is called the swimmerettes of the shrimp. At that time you should remove the female to another tank to let them hatch. When they hatch, place the female back with the other adults and start feeding the babies very fine liquid or flake food.

I just don't know the name.If the fur-balls get bigger and bigger and grow into solid masses, if yousmell an unpleasant odor when you pull a mass of it out and sniff it, ifthe individual filaments have lots of side branches, and if it is tough andharsh to the touch rather than soft, slimy, and easily broken, then it isCladophora, and not the kind that forms round balls that is so popularthese days.>I don't know its Sci name (don't care to either). But I do know this>scourge. Its relatively slow growing but once its established its too late>to control it by manipulating water conditions
