I started going to this one place with a registered nurse, and she didn't know what she was doing. Now I've been looking at American Laser Centers and they want to charge me 3299$ for my back, $2279 for my shoulders, $2279 for my upper arms, and $1919 for my beard. Ugh. That's way expensive. But I am not happy with my body hair, it really effects my confidence. They also have the "tshirt back" package which is back, shoulders and neck, which is 5119$

Grrr. I'm trying to rationalize with myself that these cost will be over a lifetime. They guarantee no hair for 2 years after the 6 sessions. So I thought that was cool.

The sales lady was pretty pushy though. I told her I wasn't ready to spend that much.

When I was leaving she's like, oh well let me call you back in two weeks if you cost is a concern so I can ask my manager to get authorized for more discounts. lol

Yeah we'll see. I dunno, what's a cost effective way to do this that keeps hair off for the most part? Thanks!!

Well as far as my beard is concerned, I want to do my neck which is the hardest and most annoying part to shave, and the upper cheeks, which is annoying to have to shave. So I am leaving the parts of my beard that i want to be able to trim and cut but not the others.

You might also want to check with a dermatologist. My doctor also offers this service once a month. It costs me $499 for my face and abs combo. I have had 9 treatments on my face so far. So the prices you list above seem very fair to me. I think I have a little over $3500 involved to date and probably will spend another 600 to finish things up.

I have never been happier with the results. I have been slowly having the treatments done over the course of the last 8 years. I can usually only afford 2 - 3 per year. And you can totally go at your own pace. I really don't think that your beard or your upper arms are worth it. Men are supposed to have their in those places, so why would you want to remove it? back makes perfect sense.

I really honestly don't not know how they can guarantee 6 sessions and being hair free. That is not possible most of the time. Your hair grows in 3 - 4 cycles at any given time. It might be enough, but it might not be. We are all different.

I would personally go for it. It has given me a ton of confidence versus the past and how I looked.

good luck with your choice!

You are right that you have to go to someone who is good as it works very well...especially if you are a good candidate, use the right equipment and go to someone who knows what they are doing. You definitely need to get multiple treatments, if you only get 1 it will thin the hair but not remove it.

I had the back of my neck done 6 years ago and the hair is still gone. My wife had her bikini and underarms done and she still has not seen regrowth.

The attached site(s) have more information on hair removal and the second site lists scores for providers based on customer satisfaction. You are talking about a nice payment so you probably want to get at least a second opinion.

Good luck.

Electrolysis and laser hair removal are “permanent” hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.
