this summer, my fiance wants to have a babe
but i'm only 16 and i don't think i'm ready
my fiancee says i'm ready, but i'm so nervous. i don't know what to do. and then after he know's i'm pregnant he wants to tell my parents with me. but i don't know how my parents are going to act when they find out he's 20 years old and the father of my babe
do you guys think i should wait intill i'm 18 to get pregnant

Yes, WAIT! Tell him if he is not willing to marry you then no babies yet! Do you realize that with you being 16 and he being 20 that is statutory rape even if the sex is consensual? Your parents may blow a gasket, hon. I would! I question this guys motives here. It does not sound like you are ready to be a mommy, and he sounds awfully pushy. Danger signal there! Get your education and established in a job or career. Then if something happens to the guy, you'll be able to support yourself. If you have a child now you are in for a difficult road if he up and leaves. Don't do it! God bless you to do the right thing!

I got pregnant with my daughter when I was 17 years old. I was also married. Although I love her more than anything in the world, I wish I had of waited before having a child. Becoming a parent is a huge responsibility. At 16, your priorities need to be school, an education, maybe a part time job. Not if you should have a baby or not. Wait until you are ready, not when someone tells you that you are ready. If you're "fiance" thinks you need to have a baby at 16, maybe you should rethink the engagement. Do not have a baby right now, wait until YOU KNOW without a doubt that you are ready for a child. Emotionally, physically, financially. This is a child that you will have the rest of your life....to support, take care of, and someone that will always no matter what depend on you. Do not take that for granted no matter what anyone says. Wait until you're ready.

I know a girl who had her baby at age 17, and she had a lot of problems. She loved her baby, but the baby's dad took off, didn't help her financially or emotionally, her friends and relatives were not nice to her, and she didn't finish school.
If your fiance wants you to have a baby, why doesn't he ask you to marry him? Why won't that be the conversation he shares with your parents? Because he's scared - that's why. He knows what they will tell him.
I am a parent, and would have hated to see any of my 3 daughters pregnant at 16 by some 20-year-old. Are you aware that your parents could have him arrested for "endangering the welfare of a minor," or "statuatory rape."
Being that you are obviously having sex with this guy, keep it protected sex, at least until you are very close to 18, Then, if this guy is still around, maybe he's a keeper.
Think a lot before making a bad decision.

You sound like you have a better head on your shoulders than the guy you are dating. If you don't think you are ready, then you are NOT. And even at 18 you should not have a baby, go to college, do something with your life, then have a baby. And for the record, the majority of teenage girls who get pregnant, get that way by guys in their 20's. And more times than not, the guy leaves them and they end up raising the baby alone. If the love you have with this guy is the real thing then he'll wait for you to finish growing up, hopefully by then he'll have grown up too. If he threatens to leave you if you don't have a baby with him, then let him, that means he doesn't really love you anyway. And by the way, I know you don't feel like this, but older guys who date teenagers are usually losers. They can't get dates with anyone of their own age so they go out with younger, more naive girls.

you are to young to have a baby. you still need to finish school go to college if you want. he is only 20 he is not ready to have a baby. dont get married till you finish school and you know he is the right person for you. having a baby is alot of work. if he trying to get you to do something you don't want to do then he is not the right person for you. if he was right for you then he would wait when you are ready. wait till you are ready to have a baby.

You wait until you get married and make sure you want a baby lots of guy are out there for one thing. He can go to jail for rape you are under age .enjoy life while you can If he love you he will wait

i think you should wait till your married that away you know he won't decide to get up and leave and if he does it will be easier to take leagel action and it looks better you have time to grow up and you can finish school.can i ask one thing is he pushy i don't want to offend you but if he's controling he may want you tohave a baby so he has more control over your life.if your not ready dont do it

honey, you are only 16, get over it. if he wants a baby tell him that you ain't getting him one and if he wants to be with you he will wait until you 100% know that, that is what you want. i think he is putting to much pressure on you. you should not only wait till ur older you should wait until you are ready

I think you definitely should wait. You said it yourself, you don't think your ready. Have a child is a very, very serious matter. It is a lifelong commitment. You have to be able to provide for & nurture for this baby for many many years. Wait until you are ready.
