System restore is also in start->programs->accessories->system tools->system restore

The most likely causes are
1. Spyware / Adware. Get a good spyware removal program like Spybot or Adaware SE (both free).
2. Not enough hardrive space.
3. Not enough RAM.
4. Your machine is just getting old and / or the Hardrive is on the way out.
5. Running too many applications / programs at once.

It could simply be that you are trying to run too many applications for the amount of ram your system has! Its like buyin a VW to tow a cattle trailer up a hill!

there could be several reasons why your system is freezing up. if you would have provided more information such as operating system, what you were doing when it froze, how old the system is.

for the most part if your system is windows based it could your lack of memory, hard drive space, or the verison of windows your using.

just check your ram, and hard disk space.. it could also be the age of the pc and the operating system. but just check ram for now, you may need an upgrade

if u have a windows, have u tried system restore yet? ( its somewhere in the control panel)

delete all of the files on your comp. and then reinstall them all. that's how mine worked. it helps... it really does.
