meteor, that I've ever seen in the DAYLIGHT, in my life !!!!!
I'm in Michagan, and I saw it go from the WNW to the ESE !!!
Very big and colorful. . .blue streaks mixed with green and yellow .

Does anyone know of a predicted meteor shower, or was this an anomoly, a one of a kind ?

UPDATE : Our local weatherman says it was witnessed by hundreds . And yes, it was likely a stray meteor . A pilot recorded seeing it at 4000 ft over Warsaw, Indiana !!!

Figures the one day something really cool is going on and we finally get cloud cover and rain. I bet it was a wonderful sight to see. I grew up in the northern half of the LP. The sky was pretty amazing.

You either saw a bolide or it was a piece of space junk re-entering the atmosphere.

Any meteoroid larger than a football can produce a flash bright enough to be seen in daylight. They are called fireballs.

You are lucky to see one in daylight. I have seen one that lit up the ground at night.

If it was a natural object, it is not necessarily part of a shower.

You should play the lottery this week.

I missed it. I was in Colorado a couple years back and watched a shower for several hours one summer evening. It was amazing.

Nothing scheduled for tonight, however, I believe there may be one in April...this may be an anamoly from that shower...something that got ahead

I remember hearing something about it - was this morning
2-5 AM ! arrrggghhhhhhh so sorry!

A Japanese film crew was in our county in an obscure area
where there are no lights - guess that's what they were looking for!

nothing predicted. must have just been some space junk that fell into the atmosphere and Burt up.
