i was anorexic and didnt have my period for a really long time. i was put on Birth Control to get it, but my pills say it would take 4 weeks for my period to come.

i got my period yesterday, and it has only been a week or so on the pill. could it be that my body naturally menstruated without the pill's help?

i'm a normal weight now.

It's totally normal for your body to be out of whack (bleeding or spotting at odd times during the month) for the first three months on a new birth control pill, you have to give it time to settle down. If it still gives you irregular bleeding after three months then you will need to see your doctor to get a different pill. I had to try 5 different pills for at least three months each until I found one that didn't give me breakthrough bleeding. Had to test drive a lot of them!

what kind of pills are they? iwell, whatever they are, a period is not supposed to come only a week into the pill cycle. dont u need to get your period to even begin taking the pills? u need to ask your doc, because i dont know how you should continue with the pills.
