Does anyone have any hints on soccer? Like when your up challenging someone on the other team who has the ball, what are some good ways on how to steal the ball?
I need some detailed descriptions, if possible!

First thing is be SMART, be CALM, and don't be too harsh. See the environment, i.e. opponent players' positions and your teammates' position. Be alert, close down his movement. Try to limit his space so he can't pass the ball to his teammates or shoot to the goal. It is good if you can push him to sideline or corner. If he tries to dribble the ball past you, just follow his movement. Try to make a bit body contact with him (e.g. put your hand on his chest or belly and hold his running a bit, or intercept his running with your shoulder), but don't be too harsh. Make him lose the ball and quickly tackle the ball when possible. If you lose your position, he dribbles quickly toward the goal, and the situation is dangerous for your goal, chase him and you can try to do sliding tackle. But reach the ball, not his foot! Beware of divers, make sure you do not get booked.

The more you practice, the better you will be.

Important: Better watch the ball movement rather than his feet movements.

Break down and slow your speed as you approach. Retard your movements while staying on the balls of your feet. That will allow you to not be juk'd. Then watch the ball and mid section of the player. A player's mid section cannot move without the ball. Feet, arms and head can all be used as a fake. Finally, look for the point they leave the ball open and drive through the player to take control of the ball.

It depends if the opponent has control yet. If he is just recieving the ball put pressure on quickly trying to remove it from them imediatly. If they have control you want to jockey them with one foot back one foot forwards (so you can easily turn and run if the try to push it past you) and wait for them to give you an opertunity to remove it from their feet.

not 2 detailed but:

when ur playin D dont rush forward and be prepared to take a few sps back because if you can back pedal enough and they dont know thats all your going to do then they will wait for you to commit and then rush past you.........just dont go 4 the ball unless u know you will get it and they wont get around you

just don't slide tackle cuz then he'll run past you and you will be left behind..just stay in front of him until you have enough defenders to have your back and then try to steal the ball when you have the perfect chance...stay calm dont rush it cuz then he'll juke you out and will run past you

Be patient.....just try to contain him first. Keep yourself between him and the goal. Don't jump in. Wait for an opportunity to make a play....
