I've looked into Freud's "the uncanny" theory but was wondering whether there are other psychologists who have looked into similar or related theories? any theory to do with people reacting to familiar yet strange things, objects with abnormal user experience, surprise elements etc.
thanks.

And if you really want to explore an haunted website, with uncanny and strange or abnormal things, all connected to psychology, then and now, take a look at the website on the internet for Danvers State Hospital in Massachusetts, U.S.A. That website is so haunted - ! I was exploring it innocently enough one afternoon and I was slowly aware that something was sort of making itself felt as I was looking from page to page. I guarantee a visit to this website will call your attention to something definitely uncanny. I can't put it into words, but I can tell you it is genuine. It is as close to a haunting as I have ever come.

The inhabitants isn't self-regulating. in case you seem on the background of human inhabitants, the only time whilst there become a internet cut back in human inhabitants become during the black plague. Even throughout international conflict II, the human inhabitants rose. In 1900 the human inhabitants become a million.6 billion and in 2000 it become 6 billion. that's no longer self-regulation. that's exponential enhance. I advise which you examine "The Medea hypothesis" via Peter D. Ward, a geologist and biologist on the college of Washington. He shows that the Gaia hypothesis isn't supported via the actual evidence. inspite of each little thing, with 5 significant mass extinctions in geological background plus one that is happening spectacular now, the assumption of a self-regulating earth isn't smart.
